The Office spinoff is happening.
The New York Post reports Peacock announced on Wednesday (May 8) that spinoff will include the original NBC series producer Greg Daniels and former Saturday Night Live writer Michael Koman. Domhnall Gleeson and Sabrina Impacciatore will lead the cast.
According to Peacock, “The documentary crew that immortalized Dunder Mifflin’s Scranton branch is in search of a new subject when they discover a dying historic Midwestern newspaper and the publisher trying to revive it with volunteer reporters.”
Production will begin in July.
