Zendaya’s tennis movie, ‘Challengers,’ was number one at the box office with a $15 million opening. It’s the second-best debut for an original R-rated drama since the pandemic, only behind ‘Don’t Worry Darling.’ ‘Unsung Hero,’ about the upbringing of Grammy winners for KING + COUNTRY also did well in second place with almost $8 million in tickets sales. Also of note, ‘Godzilla x Kong’ and ‘Dune: Part Two’ crossed $500 million and $700 million, respectively, at the worldwide box office.
