Cubs took the series with a 5-3 win last night in Arizona. It was the only game of the 3 game set to not go to extra innings. Cody Bellinger was 2-4 with 2 runs and an RBI which was a go-ahead homer in the 8th. Swanson, Busch, and Tachman also hat multi hit games.
Jordan Wicks was solid in 4.1 innings, he gave up homer but struck out 5 and giving up just 2 runs. Arizona had come into the game the #1 team in average against left handed pitchers. One time Cub Joc Pederson homered for the second straight game off his former team.
Cubs return home for 4 games starting tonight against the Marlins. The remaining 3 games will all be afternoon starts. Taillon vs Puk the pitching matchup this evening. You can hear the game on 98.7 WASK.
