5 star forward Liam McNeeley is asking to be released from his letter of intent at Indiana and will reopen his recruitment according to ON3.
NEWS: Five-Star Liam McNeeley has decommitted from Indiana.
The 6-7 SF has requested to be released from his National Letter of Intent and will reopen his recruitment.

It’s a devastating blow to the program that has struggled to bring in high school talent the last couple of seasons. McNeeley signed his LOI in November, turning down Kansas, Alabama, Oklahoma, and Texas. ON3 had him as the #14 prospect in the class. ESPN had him as high as 11. After several other high profile swings and misses in the class, Indiana needed McNeely and it seemed as if the hay was in the barn. No word on what happened for him to suddenly request his release. Indiana even gave a public vote of confidence in Coach Woodson this week after a petition circulated to have him fired. The class of 2024 for Indiana currently has no commits.
The Twitter Account Trilly Donovan is know to have the scoops in college hoops before most of the big names. It did tweet this out shortly after the McNeeley news. Not saying this is related, but the timing is…well….
