WALMART CONSIDERS CLOSING ALL SELF-CHECKOUTS

Just when we got used to scanning our own laundry detergent and orange juice, Walmart is considering getting rid of self-checkout altogether. They’re testing it in Canada and if they find fewer items go “missing,” they might pull the plug on the self-checkout machines everywhere. Walmart figures they lose $22 billion dollars a year from honest self-checkout mistakes or shoppers who “accidentally” forget to swipe items.
