‘Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One’ outran the competition at the box office for a five-day total of $80 million in North America including $56 million for the weekend. While that’s a huge number, it still finished behind the $90 million projections it had from the industry. The number two movie was surprisingly the faith-based indie thriller ‘Sound of Freedom,’ which grossed $25 million domestically. Since its July 4th release date, it’s made over $83 million and counting.
