Today the Big Ten announced the football schedule for it’s schools for the next two seasons which will include UCLA and USC. It also announced a list of protected rivalries. Schools ranged from 0-3 of those. Purdue ends up with 2, Indiana and Illinois. So those matchups will happen every season. USC and UCLA will become rivals as well under the new terms. In addition, the Boilers also get Northwestern two times in the next two seasons. Things that stand out for the Boilers: first, 1 west coast trips the next 2 years, although USC will come to town in 2024, Purdue will go to UCLA in 2025. Second, getting 2 games with both Northwestern and Indiana is a huge boost. Both teams have struggled the last several years, and the Boilers have benefited from those matchups. As for non-conference, in 2024 Purdue gets at home against Indiana State and Notre Dame as well as on the road at Oregon State. In 2025 its at home against Ball State and Uconn before hitting the road to Notre Dame.
