The Art in the Park Series is back this summer with four fun, family-friendly, and free events from Lafayette Parks & Recreation.  The four events happen June through August and include dancing, sports, and all kinds of family fun at three different Lafayette parks: Columbian Park, CAT Park, and Armstrong Park.

While each event has its own theme, all the events have local art vendors, food trucks, free kids activities, and more.  Neuhoff Media’s 98.7 WASK is a proud sponsor of the Art in the Park series.

This year’s events are:
Tue. June 6: Dance Night in Columbian Park
Tue. June 20: Celebration Night in CAT Park
Tue. July 11: Baseball Night in Columbian Park
Tue. August 1: Family Fun Night in Armstrong Park

The Art in the Park festival series has been around since 2014 to showcase local and regional fine arts and crafts, interactive art, music from local talent, a variety of foods from local food vendors, and fun activities for kids.  The Art in the Park festivals showcase fine arts such as watercolor, photography, pottery, ceramics, wood, jewelry, metal, textiles, and much more. Art pieces are sold by local and regional vendors.
