Kimberly Perry signed a solo recording deal earlier this year and on Friday (5/5) she will release her first single as a solo artist. You probably remember Kimberly most as the lead singer from The Band Perry which was a very successful trio in country music about a decade ago.

Kimberly’s first solo single is one you are already somewhat familiar with if you remember The Band Perry song, “If I Die Young”, from 2010.  Here’s what Kimberly had to say about “If I Die Young Pt 2″,  “I felt like the story wasn’t finished. There needed to be a sequel that talked about where my head is these days now that I’ve experienced so much life – I’m having a baby, I’m married, I’ve moved to Nashville; I’ve seen all of these dreams come true since writing the original version.”

Kimberly will release a five song EP called BLOOM on June 9th.

Here is the track list for BLOOM

1. If I Die Young Pt. 2 (Kimberly Perry, Nicolle Galyon, Jimmy Robbins)
2. Burn The House Down (Kimberly Perry, Jimmy Robbins, Sasha Sloan)
3. Cry At Your Funeral (Kimberly Perry, Jesse Frasure)
4. Ghosts (Kimberly Perry, Nicolle Galyon, Jimmy Robbins)
5. Smoke ‘Em Too (Kimberly Perry, Casey Brown, Parker Welling)
