End of an era. The accomplishments of the man are staggering. 3 Stanley Cups 1, Selke 1, Conn Smythe 1, Messier Leadership Award, 4x All-Star. Towes was drafted by the Blackhawks 3rd overall in the 2006 draft .In 15 seasons in Chicago, he’s racked up 882 points and 371 goals. He’ll finish 6th all time in goals for the franchise, 7th in assists and 6th in points. He’ll also leave the leading in overtime goals, as well as 3rd in game winning goals.
Then there’s this tweet. This guy had been in Chicago so long, the next longest tenured player was 7 years behind him. Insane.
It's the end of an era at the United Center tonight. pic.twitter.com/wmpmnzYu7l
