Jessica Simpson reveals she had a secret romance with a “massive movie star”.
In her “short and true story” titled Movie Star: They Always Say They’re Single, she recalls being on a break from Nick Lachey. During the 2001 MTV VMAs Simpson says the “hot” A-list movie star “eyed [her] up and down” adding “He was undressing me with his eyes.” She got the actor’s number, but did not call because she and Lachey reconciled.
After her divorce from the 98 Degrees member in 2006, she shared a kiss with the unnamed star at the Beverly Hills Hotel. The person told Jessica that the relationship with his girlfriend was “completely over.” The two would hang out at nighclubs, at her friend’s home and on a movie set.
However, Simpson says started to feel “like a call girl” who was only there to hook up with the mystery celebrity. She described a time meeting him at a hotel, using the private entrance and walking up the emergency stairs to avoid being seen by “his chick.”
Ultimately, the singer/actress ended things with this celeb. She says, “I didn’t care if he was my teenage fantasy come to life, this was not a choice that same girl, my younger self, would be proud of.”
