The home that served as the stand in for the real life murder house in the 1979 movie “The Amityville Horror” has just been sold in Tom’s River New Jersey for 1.5 million dollars. The four-bedroom, five bathroom riverfront home was built back in 1920. “The Amityville Horror” is based on the true crime story of Ronald “Butch” DeFeo Jr., who spread terror across Long Island, when he brutally slayed his family in 1974.
