The West Lafayette BMV branch will be closing next month.

Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles (BMV) Commissioner Joe B. Hoage announced in a press release today (Nov. 15) that the last day of operations at the West Lafayette branch will be Saturday, December 17th, 2022.  Hoage said that the reasons for the closure are due to a “significant decline in transactions while the use of kiosks and myBMV by area residents has grown.”  The BMV will work with West Lafayette city officials to “evaluate options to install a BMV Connect kiosk in the community.”

The Lafayette BMV branch located at 2200 Elmwood Ave houses a kiosk.  The BMV annouced that they expect to move the Lafayette branch later this year that will offer additional customer service and testing stations.
