The German city of Munich is holding its world famous Oktoberfest for the first time since 2019, after it was canceled in 2020 and 2021 due to the pandemic. Mayor Dieter Reiter put the tap in the first keg at noon local time on Saturday (September 16th), officially opening the festivities, which will run through October 3rd. This is the 187th edition of Munich’s Oktoberfest, which usually draws about six million visitors each year to the packed festival grounds
