Michelle Branch was arrested on Thursday in Nashville, TN for domestic assault according to court documents obtained by E! News. According to the documents, Branch admitted to slapping her husband, Patrick Carney, in the face “ont to two times.” Carney, however, did not have any visible injuries.
According to the Davidson County Police website, the “Everywhere” singer’s bail was set at $1,000. Her next court appearance is set for November 7th. TMZ reports Michelle was released early because she is breastfeeding their 6-moth-old daughter.
Branch tweeted, then deleted, two days prior to her arrest that Partick had been cheating on her, while she was home with their baby. On August 11th, she announced that they were separating after more than three years of marriage.
