‘Queen SongShares’ Offers Fans Royalties From The Group’s Songs

Beginning on November 21, a reservation period has opened up for fans and investors to purchase marginal shares of music royalties from Queen’s back catalog. Queen SongShares was launched by Songvest, a company that has previously offered fans royalty shares from songs by Beyoncé, Kelly Clarkson, 50 Cent, Cardi B, Bad Bunny, Mariah Carey, and Eminem. The royalties in Queen’s songs that have been made available for purchase come from the estate of the band’s late co-producer, David Richards.

The reservation window for Queen SongShares runs from November 21 through December 5, and once that period is over they will be submitted for SEC Qualification for public sale. All royalty earnings for fans and investors will be paid out quarterly. “These SongShares are not just an investment; they’re an invitation for fans to hold a piece of Queen’s magic and my father’s creative spirit,” said Chris Richards, the producer’s son.
