After losing their season opener, the Lafayette Aviators got a measure of revenge last night 11-7 the final in Loeb Stadium. After digging a first inning 2-0 hole, Tucker Platt rocked an RBI triple in the bottom of the first. Kolton Schaller would later drive him in to tie the game. Chillicothe would later run the score up to 7-3 before the Aviators would score 8 unanswered from the bottom of the 6th. Owen Norris struck out 6 in 4 innings of work.
The win puts the fly boys at 1-1 on the season. Aviators will stay at home again tonight and welcome in the Danville Dans who are off to a 1-0 start to the season.
