On Friday (5-3), Morgan Wallen‘s lawyer, Worrick Robinson, appeared in court on his behalf and called it a “very complicated case.” He told reporters, “It’s not going to resolve itself without subpoenas and witnesses.”

Wallen’s facing three felony charges after throwing a chair off the 6th floor balcony of a Nashville bar that landed within feet of Metro police officers.

The incident is prompting the city to be aware of copy cats. Mayor Freddie O’Connel was asked about safety implications of Wallen’s incident, he said: “We will see if we wind up making recommendations that should go to Metro Historic Zoning Commission.”

Following Friday’s hearing, the case has been “reset” to August 15, and according to his lawyer, Wallen will be in attendance.
