Jason Derulo has canceled his scheduled performance at SeaWorld Orlando’s Seven Seas Food Festival following concerns raised by PETA. The group informed Derulo about the alleged abuse of dolphins and whales at the amusement park, citing the deaths of over 500 animals and the forced performances and breeding. To show appreciation, PETA sent Derulo a “SeaWorld Sucks” t-shirt and vegan dolphin-shaped fruit snacks, along with a stuffed dolphin toy for his son. PETA’s Executive Vice President, Tracy Reiman, commended Derulo for his decision and called on SeaWorld to relocate the captive dolphins and whales to seaside sanctuaries. Chris Young has been announced as Derulo’s replacement for the festival.
