Following last week’s release of Ohio Players… The Black Keys are #1 on the Current Rock Album and Alternative Album charts in the U.S. It’s also the highest debut of the week on Billboard’s Top Rock Albums Chart and Top Alternative Albums Chart, debuting at #5 on both. And is #26 on the Billboard 200.
Co-founding member, Dan Auerbach said. “We’d never worked harder to make a record. It’s never taken us this long to make an album. We took our time and did it right.”
The album features contributions from Beck, Noel Gallagher, Juicy J, and others. The Black Keys will kick off their North American tour in Tulsa on September 17.
