Visitors flocked to see a lake that had turned a deep purple color in Germany. The local state environment office said the unusual color is from Sulphur bacteria that is normally found in deep water that made its way to the water’s surface. It also said the bacteria will eventually sink again, as it also happened in 2020 and 2021.
