The Big Ten Conference announced their season ending awards today from both coaches and media. Big surprise, it was dominated by Boilers. Zach Edey was your player of the year, and that was unanimous. Matt Painter was your co-coach of the year along with Nebraska’s Fred Hoiberg. the 6th Man of the Year award went to Mason Gillis. Assistant Coach Brandon Brantley won the assistant coach of the year award as well. As for your first team awards, Zach was unanimous again, and Braden Smith also made both coaches and media’s lists. No other Boilers made second or third team nor did any make the All-Freshman team.  Zach Edey did make the all defensive team.
