Harrison Boys Swim and Dive took home 7th Saturday at the IHSAA State Swim Championships. Matthew Klinge led the way winning both the 50 free and 100 fly titles. In the 50 free, Klinge came oh so close to Drew Kibler’s state record. Kibler is a world record holder as part of a 200 free relay team, and currently swims at Texas. But Klinge has cemented himself as one of the best swimmers to ever come thru the IHSAA.
Matthew Klinge leaves Harrison with five individual state championships. Almost broke Drew Kibler's 50 free state record today. Kibler is one of the best swimmers in the world, by the way. https://t.co/1Szs454ybC

The Harrison Medley relay would lead off the day finishing 5th, and the 200 Free Relay would finish second over all. (Klinge’s lead off time would have been the second fastest in the event…behind Klinge). Elijah Blume came up a bit short of making the finals in the 200 free,
Other local swimmers and divers included Jeff diver Josh Thomas finishing 24th, and Anthony Korchnak finished 23rd in the 500 free.
