The Colts are in a position to make the playoffs going into their final game of the season. They’ll host the Titans on Saturday night, and Vegas already has Indy as an underdog. So what does Indy need to happen to make the playoffs?
First off…Win. It’s really that simple. The Colts win this game over the Texans and they are in. Now, where they would slot, that’s a different story. Indy can still win the AFC South. That would take a win, and either a Jacksonville loss, or a Indy tie with a Jacksonville loss. Colts also win the division with a win and Jacksonville tie. Now where they would slot in if they don’t win the division? Well, that’s going to depend on a few factors. While the Colts are at 53% likely to make the playoffs, they have the highest chance to be the 7th seed. A couple of games break right and they could move to the 6th seed. But winning the AFC South would make them the 4th seed.
So who would they play? Well, again depends. Most likely the winner of Sunday’s Miami and Buffalo game. But a AFC south title would get you a home game vs the Browns. Just how crazy is the last week? The Bills have the 3rd best odds to win the Super Bowl, but could still miss the playoffs win a loss to Miami this weekend.
And for you Bears fans, a win over the Packers knocks them out of the playoffs. Plus, you locked up the #1 pick over the weekend with the Carolina loss. Would be a great week wouldn’t it?
