Today was National Signing day over a number of sports and Purdue welcomed plenty of new Boilers.

Men’s Basketball had a class of 5. The class is ranked eighth by Rivals.com and ninth nationally by 247Sports. It is Purdue’s highest-ranked recruiting class since the class of 2007, when the Baby Boilers were ranked No. 4 nationally by Scout.com and No. 5 by Rivals.com.  Guards C.J. Cox and Jack Benter, wing Kanon Catchings and post players Raleigh Burgess and Daniel Jacobsen have all submitted their paperwork and are now officially members of the Boilermakers. The crown jewel being Catchings, who becomes the second highest rated recruit ever for Matt Painter.

Women’s hoops picked up 3 today. Jordyn Poole, Lana McCarthy and Kendall Puryear committed. Poole is the one to watch out of Ft Wayne Snyder. Katie Geralds gets the top rated player in Indiana, and one that’s rated as high as 38th in the nation. She’s also the cousin of Caleb Swanigan.

Women’s Golf added an Indiana native in Westfield’s Samantha Brown

Wrestling had a trio of commits today as well.
