The first ever People’s Choice Country Awards were held last night (9/28). Jelly Roll and Lainey Wilson each took home more than one trophie.
Toby Keith was awarded the Icon Award. He has been battling stomach cancer since 2021 and prior to the ceremony stopped to chat with E! News about his health. Toby said, “I feel pretty good. It’s a little bit of a roller coaster. You get good days and, you know, you’re up and down, up and down. It’s always zero to 60 and 60 to zero but I feel good today.”
