Marilyn Manson will have to pay a $1200 fine and service 20 hours of community service after a plea deal was struck in the case where he was accused of spitting at and blowing his nose on a videographer.

Manson appeared in a New Hampshire courtroom Monday to plead no contest to one charge of simple assault. The deal with prosecutors requires him to complete the community service within six months and inform New Hampshire authorities if he is going to do a concert in the state within the next two years.

The incident took place at a concert on August 19th 2019, at the Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion in Gilford, New Hampshire. The videographer didn’t object to the plea deal but had a victim statement read that said, “I understand this was not a big criminal charge to begin with, but I was hoping that the defendant would receive a sentence that would make him think twice before doing something like this again.”

As Manson left the courtroom he told WMUR-TV that he wanted to work with people in recovery during his community service hours.
