*Lafayette, Indiana* — The much-anticipated 2nd Annual Mocktail Monday Event is set to captivate the community once again as it returns to promote mental health awareness, honor National Suicide Prevention Month, and celebrate National Recovery Month. This unique event, organized by Mental Health America Wabash Valley Region, is scheduled for September 18, 2023, at River City Community Center.

The 2nd Annual Mocktail Monday Event will bring together local bartenders and esteemed community leaders to participate in friendly competitions, crafting the most inventive and delightful mocktail concoctions. With a thematic twist, each bartender-community leader pair will collaborate to present their innovative mocktail and theme, providing attendees an engaging experience beyond typical beverage competitions.

The event’s central focus remains on promoting mental health awareness and supporting essential mental health initiatives. All proceeds from the event, with tickets priced at $40, will be dedicated to funding Mental Health America’s flagship programs: Let’s Talk* and *System of Care Navigator*. These programs provide individuals in the community with crucial resources to access mental health support and guidance on their journey to recovery. By participating in this event, attendees directly contribute to the community’s well-being while enjoying a vibrant evening of mocktail innovation and camaraderie.

“We couldn’t be more excited to bring back our signature event, “Mocktail Monday” to the River City Community Center on September 18th. Mocktail Monday is our ode to Recovery Awareness Month and Suicide Prevention Awareness Month, and we are humbled by the support we have received for this vision from our sponsors, community leaders, area restaurants and bars, and, of course, the wonderful people who attend this fun event. We look forward to seeing how high the bar will be set this year and encourage folks to get their tickets while they last.” – Brandi Christiansen, President and CEO of Mental Health America Wabash Valley Region.
