Robert Downey Junior Calls Cillian Murphy’s ‘Oppenheimer’ Transformation “Bananas”

We’re just a couple days away from ‘Oppenheimer’ coming out, finally! Cillian Murphy, who plays Robert Oppenheimer, the inventor of the atomic bomb, lost a lot of weight to play the scientist. He had a crazy diet and sometimes skipped dinners with the rest of the cast. The Irish actor didn’t say exactly how much weight he lost. Robert Downey Junior plays Lewis Strauss, Oppenheimer’s rival, and naval officer, and called Cillian’s transformation “bananas.” The movie hits theaters Friday.
