An 8th inning 2 run homer from Edwin Diaz sent the National League to it’s first all star win since 2012 last night. Cubs start Justin Steele just needed 10 pitches and 1 strike out in his single inning of work. He was the only Cub to participate. As for the Sox, bad news. Luis Robert Jr pulled out of the All-Star Game early Tuesday after undergoing an MRI on his right calf, according to the team’s official Twitter account. Sox say he is listed as day-to-day. It’s suspected he may have injured himself during the Home Run Derby Monday night. He’ll be re-evaluated on Friday ahead of their series with the Braves. Robert has never played a full MLB season. He ranks second in the AL with 26 home runs.
