Ian Rappaport is reporting former Boiler Ja’Whaun Bentley has agreed to a 2 year extension with the Patriots. The deal is worth a maximum of $18.75 million and includes $9 million fully guaranteed. Bentley was a 5th round pick out of Purdue that logged 125 tackles last season and was the anchor in the middle for the New England defense. He was due to make 2.1 million as a base this season
