Wea Ridge Middle School held their 14th annual Riley Walk on Friday (May 12). The 6th, 7th & 8th graders raised money for Riley Hospital for Children, including online donations.
As a reward for their efforts, they get to take 45 minutes out of the school day to walk the track with their friends.
Honor Society Advisor Jill Shambaugh said, “This walk is a great way to get the students involved to help a special place like Riley that has an impact on so many people. And, the students get to spend some extra time outdoors.” Since their first Riley Walk, the school has raised over $40,000 for Riley.
