Beyoncé Challenges IRS Over $2.7 Million in Tax and Penalties

Beyoncé is taking on the Internal Revenue Service.

Forbes reports the singer filed a petition on April 17th challenging nearly $2.7 million in tax and penalties from the IRS in a January 18, 2023, Notice of Deficiency.  The notice says Beyoncé allegedly owes additional taxes with penalties for 2018 and 2019.  However, she says that the IRS did not take into account the millions of dollars in deductions.

As for the penalties, Beyoncé claims those should not apply because she “has acted reasonably and in good faith.”
