Morgan Wallen had to cancel his performance in Oxford, Mississippi at the last minute, Sunday night. The singer was put on vocal rest after spending most of the day trying to find a solution that would make performing possible. Fans were entertained by opening acts, Hardy, Earnest and Nate Smith before a message appeared on stage monitors to explain that Morgan was unable to perform. It said, (Morgan) “has lost his voice and is unable to perform tonight . . .” Concertgoers were instructed to exit the stadium and told that refunds would be available at point of purchase.
Morgan posted his own message to fans on his Instagram stories later that night writing, “spent the day resting up, talking to (his) doctor and working through vocal exercises” but was still “unable to sing.” He added, “I really thought I’d be able to take the stage and it kills me to deliver this so close to showtime . . . I am so sorry. I promise you guys I tried everything I could.”For now Morgan Wallen remains on vocal rest. His next show will be May 4th in Jacksonville, FL.
Fans had mixed reactions to Sunday’s last-minute cancellation .

The facts are. You don't cancel a show 5 minutes before showtime. Period. If he was sick or had no voice he knew it much sooner than that. Pitiful.
