Hugh Grant’s Oscars interview with Ashley Graham did not sit well with some viewers.
Graham interviewed Grant on the red carpert for ABC. When asked about his favorite thing about coming to the Oscars, the actor replied, “It’s fascinating. The whole of humanity is here. It’s Vanity Fair.” The model then asked who he is most excited to see. Grant replied, “Not…no one in particular.” The interview continued to get awkward as Graham asked, “Well, what are you wearing tonight then?” Grant’s short reply, “Just my suit.” He could not recall his tailor’s name.
The interview wrapped up when Ashley asked how it was for Hugh to appear in Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery. The actor said, “Well, I’m barely in it. I’m in it for about 3 seconds.” Graham said, “Yeah, but still, you showed up and fun, right?” Grant replied, “Almost.”
US Weekly reports viewers took to Twitter to slam the interview. One user tweeted, “Hugh Grant just gave one of the worst interviews I’ve ever watched on live tv lol. Admittedly, the question kinda sucked but he was NOT trying to support the interviewer at all 😂” Another wrote, “Name something more painful than that Ashley Graham/Hugh Grant interview …”
