Six years later, Rita Ora is shutting down rumors about being ‘Becky’ on Beyonce’s 2016 album Lemonade.

In the song “Sorry”, rumors began to spread that Ora was the person referenced in Beyonce’s lyric “Becky with the good hair”.

During an interivew on the BBC podcast Louis Theroux Interviews…, Rita clarified that the necklace she wore featuring her first initial in a 2016 Snapchat photo was a “coincidence.”  She said, “I didn’t even think about it, I swear. And it wasn’t a J, it was an R. They flipped it ’round and then it looked like a J.”

Theroux asked the singer if the lemon-applique bra in the same photo was meant for Jay-Z.  Ora replied, “No, it had nothing [to do with it].  No, that was my own design with an underwear company called Tezenis that I was working with.”
