Temporary I-65 ramp closures starting on/after Oct. 10

BOONE / CLINTON COUNTY, Ind. – The Indiana Department of Transportation announces temporary ramp closures starting on or after Monday, October 10 on I-65 for continued work on a multi-county patchwork operation. The closures are as follows, weather permitting:

  • Monday, October 10 – Lebanon Rest Area northbound entrance and exit ramps will close from 7 p.m. – 7 a.m. (Mile Marker 148)
  • Tuesday, October 18 – Entrance ramp from State Road 28 to I-65 northbound will close from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. (Mile Marker 158)
  • Tuesday, October 25 – Entrance ramp from S.R. 28 to I-65 southbound will close from 8 p.m. to 7 a.m. (Mile Marker 158)
i65 restrictionsAt the same time, there will also be lane restrictions on I-65 in connection to this project. The northbound driving lane of I-65 will close nightly between approximately 0.8 miles north of State Road 47 and approximately 3.44 miles south of S.R. 38. Work will happen in two-mile stretches in various locations along the interstate through early December, weather permitting.

This project was awarded to Rieth Riley Construction for over $5.2 million. INDOT reminds motorists to slow down, use caution and consider worker safety through work zones.
