The Purdue NIL store has launched. It allows you to buy gear (Shirts, hoodies ect) that feature your favorite Purdue players. And then the money you spend on items, “Puts money into the athlete’s pockets”. Now, it’s not every Purdue athlete, but, there are a lot of them, and not just football and basketball players! The store boast a wide range of Boilermakers from 14 different teams.

For now, most items are basic. You can get a shirt or hoodie with a player’s name and number on the back. But expect more to drop soon. This is a great way for you to support athletes. Some folks don’t feel right donating money into these new collectives. I understand that, and I’m a bit the same way. But here, you are buying a product that the student-athlete will get a direct cut of. And it’s stuff you won’t find in any other store. Another thing that’s great, you can pick up gear from so many of the olympic sports. So if your 10 year old is a big soccer fan, she can pick up a shirt with her Emily Matthews’ name and number on the back. You got a volleyball player at home? Pick up a Ali Hornung hoodie. I love it because everyone can support their favorites in almost any sport. You aren’t limited to a couple of big name football or basketball players in a store (Not that there’s anything wrong with that). Not a lot of schools offer this, but it’s what most of us envisioned when Name Image and Likeness deals became legal for college athletes.
