The victim in Monday’s Subaru of Indiana Automotive shooting is currently in critical condition.
According to a press release from the Lafayette Police Department officers responded to the shooting at approximately 4:15pm. When they arrived, they found 36-year-old Mindy L. Donovan of Lafayette with a gunshot wound to the head. Donovan was transported to the hospital by ambulance, and later, taken by helicopter to Indianapolis. She is currently in critical condition.
Officers located the suspect near a pond on the east side of the SIA property, where he found dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Detectives with the LPD obtained information that Donovan and the suspect had been involved in a previous relationship and appeared to be a targeted shooting.
