Interview with Dr. Carrie Cadwell of 4C Health

Aug 11, 2022 | 6:00 AM

4C Health (formerly Four County) is a behavioral health provider in North Central Indiana.  The rebranding to 4C Health reflects their goals for the future and the “changing terrain of behavioral health toward integration.”

CEO/President, Dr. Carrie Cadwell, said, “We started out as the designated community mental health center for four North Central Indiana counties…Cass, Miami, Pulaski, and Fulton counties.  But, we are now providing services in 15 counties.”  Those counties include Carroll, Clinton, Jasper, and White counties.

4C Health has recently converted to a 32-hour work week in an effort to reduce burnout.  Dr. Cadwell said, “The average burnout-rate for folks working in behavior health, before COVID, was between thirty and seventy percent.”  She added, “The average turnover rate for a community mental health center can be roughly around 40%.”
