A poll conducted by OnePoll on behalf of Crumbl Cookies reveals that 62% say their favorite cookie is the chocolate chip cookie. Nearly half of the respondents say they ate chocolate chip cookies as a kid.
Another poll asked about their baking skills and the “perfect” cookie. 4 in 10 believe they are confident enough in their baking skills to quit their current jobs to bake full-time. Of the 2,000 Americans surveyed 82% enjoy baking their own cookies.
When it comes to the “perfect cookie”, the poll finds most agree on a soft-baked, chewy cookie made with brown sugar. However, respondents shared that a good cookie may be more complex than that. It also requires other ingredients like vanilla extract and cinnamon. Others, alos, shared some more uncommon ingredients like brown butter and citrus zest.
