The Tippecanoe County Health Department has confirmed three cases of Monkeypox in Tippecanoe County. TCHD received notification from the Indiana Department of Health. Any known contacts of the three cases have been notified.
Monkeypox is spread through skin-to-skin contact, respiratory droplets, and touching objects such as bedding and surfaces that has been touched by an infected person. Symptoms include fever, headache, chills, swollen lymph nodes, muscle aches, exhaustion, and/or a newly developed rash. If you are experiencing these symptoms, please contact your health provider.
