Thomas Rhett Teases New Song

By Taylor Brown Jan 7, 2021 | 11:58 AM

Thomas Rhett tips his hat to his small-town upbringing in his new song, “Where We Grew Up.”

The superstar shared a “little teaser” of the track on Wednesday via TikTok, further fueling fans’ excitement over his forthcoming studio album.

The teaser clip finds Rhett looking back on his childhood, reminiscing about country music, baseball diamonds and Sunday morning sermons.

“They born and raised us on faith, hope and love and they dang sure, yeah, we’re dang sure proud of where we grew up,” the ACM Entertainer of the Year sings.

“Where We Grew Up” is one of several songs the superstar has teased on social media throughout the past year.

In August, the superstar took to Instagram to share a snippet of a song called “Mamaws House,” which he co-wrote with Morgan Wallen. According to Wallen, the song just might end up as a collaboration between the two on Rhett’s new album.

“That’s the only song I wrote during this quarantine, and I think it’s gonna end up being on his album, I believe,” Wallen recently shared with Country Now and other media outlets. “And I think I’m gonna sing it with him.”

There’s no word on when Thomas Rhett’s fifth studio album will be released, however, it’s expected to drop sometime this year. The yet-to-be-titled project will serve as the follow-up to 2019’s Center Point Road.
