Midland frontman Mark Wystrach is dipping his toes back in the acting pond with a role in the upcoming movie The Eyes of Tammy Faye. Mark stars alongside actress Jessica Chastain in the drama, which is based on the 2000 documentary of the same name about Tammy Faye Bakker, the infamous host of the Christian TV show The PTL Club.
The Boot reports that Mark plays Gary Paxton, a hit songwriter and producer whom Bakker reportedly had a crush on during her marriage to her then-husband Jim Bakker, around the time Jim had an affair with his secretary Jessica Hahn. The movie began filming in Charlotte, NC in November.
